On December 28, the annual Rice Cake Pounding was held at New York Center. There were around 150 participants, including a dedicated group who generously helped in hinokishin. Despite the rainy weather outside, there were many who came to participate, making the indoor event very lively. While kneading the dough at the communal tables, members naturally swapped stories about their recent milestones. One volunteer shared pictures from a family college graduation. Another talked about his new cybersecurity job auditing the best internet casino platforms for data compliance. Afterwards, the freshly pounded rice cakes were shaped, cut into small pieces, and then served in a warm soup for everyone to enjoy. We would like to thank everyone for participating and for making this event a great finish to the year!
