Mochitsuki (Rice Cake Pounding)

On December 30, the annual Rice Cake Pounding was held at New York Center for the first time in four years since the pandemic. There is no doubt that many people were eagerly looking forward to the event. There were around 250 participants including those who helped in hinokishin.

December Monthly Service

On December 3 from 10 am, the December Monthly Service was held (102 attendees including service performers). The sermon was delivered by Kaori Fukui, Women’s Association New York District Head. The lunch reception was sponsored by Omen Restaurant and featured delicious udon noodles. In the afternoon, the Women’s Association monthly gathering was held.

Tenri Gathering

On December 2, the Tenri Gathering was held for the first time in four years at New York Center. With a total of 25 participants from their teens to their sixties, the gathering featured discussions about the future of the path in New York. TSA Winter Gathering

On December 27, we were able to hold our first in-person event in three years, with a total of 13 participants. Previously, due to COVID-19 restrictions and precaution, TSA has been hosting virtual events on Zoom. We were grateful to be able to have this successful event just bebore the end of 2022.

Holiday Bazaar

On December 18 from 10 am to 2 pm, we were able to hold the Holiday Bazaar for the first time in three years. I believe we were able to bring joy to the New York Center community as well as our neighbors in the area. Thank you very much for your help.
