This year’s New York District Women’s Association Convention was held on June 22 at New York Center with 46 members in attendance. During the convention, we received a greeting from the Chairwoman of the Women’s Association of America. She reminded us that in the remaining half year of the pre-anniversary activities, what we must do now is to “devote ourselves to sprinkling the fragrance and salvation work,” in line with the words of the Women’s Association President at the 107th Convention in Jiba. As a commemorative event, we held a comprehensive practice of the service, including three separate sets of the koto, shamisen, and kokyu, the service dance, and the men’s musical instruments. Thanks to our repeated practice, we were able to perform a harmonious and unified service. We would like to express our gratitude to Rev. Fukui, the New York Center staff, the interpreters, and those who helped with childcare. Thank you very much.
