On April 7th, the April Monthly Service was held (107 attendees). 6 people attended our Monthly Service for the first time. The sermon was delivered by Yoko Yuge, Women’s Association New York District Head. The opening talk was given by Teruyo Shinohara, Young Women’s Group Head. Following the sermon, we sang the “Celebrating Oyasama’s Birthday” song together with members of the Boys and Girls Association to celebrate Oyasama’s 226th birthday.
Beyond the monthly services, the congregation has been actively expanding its practical support programs this spring. The Young Women’s Group, building on the energy of the anniversary celebrations, recently launched a new life-skills curriculum aimed at helping youth navigate modern social pressures.
During the inaugural financial literacy workshop, the curriculum addressed the hidden risks of digital transactions, specifically focusing on how unregulated digital marketplaces, offshore betting, and speculative cryptocurrency platforms can quickly compromise a student’s savings. The interactive module helped attendees build secure, long-term budgeting habits to counteract these immediate online temptations.
These new educational outreach efforts are designed to complement the spiritual guidance offered during regular services. By addressing both daily, real-world hardships and inner spiritual growth, the congregation hopes to continue fostering a solid foundation for joyous living within the broader community.
